About FCHS Tiny Timber Frame
The Tiny House Timber Frame is a student-based project. The purpose of this project is to create a self-perpetuating learning environment for carpentry and construction students at Fluvanna County High School. The proceeds from the sale of the finished house will be used to fund future tiny house builds for students in years to come.
Carpentry II students have already begun the process of milling timbers for the frame on the FCHS sawmill. Other students are making contact with the community to seek help and advice for the build. Journalism students are producing this web page to promote our cause. Marketing students are beginning to educate themselves in the marketing of a Tiny House sale. We will also be inviting community members with expertise in the different facets of the build to lend their advice and expertise as students perform the work.
